Thomas Stites, MD, believes in education and collaboration with patients in planning treatment. He maintains a broad practice of general surgery including benign and malignant breast surgery, hernia repair including abdominal wall reconstruction, anti-reflux surgery, endoscopy, pilonidal, gallbladder and colon procedures. Procedures are performed with open, laparoscopic and robotic modalities.
Dr. Stites hails from Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Williams College before returning to the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Getting to Know Dr. Stites:
Outside of work he (usually) enjoys time with his two boys and (always) with his wife. He loves to be in the mountains hiking, biking or skiing. Running, basketball, travel and crossword puzzles are favorite pastimes.
